The Düsseldorf AI Conference 2023 will be the second conference on Artificial Intelligence (AI) organized by the Manchot Research Group "Decision-making with the help of Artificial Intelligence" and the Heine Center for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (HEiCAD) both located at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (HHU). The two-day event will take place at the "Haus der Universität" right in the center of Düsseldorf on June 19/20, 2023.
The conference gathers international academic researchers in the field of AI and data science in Düsseldorf with the aim to exchange ideas across scientific disciplines and technologies with members of the Manchot research group and with further interested professional audiences.

Both, the Manchot research group on AI and the HeiCAD have already been in existence for three years and provide an ideal place for exchanging AI news and research results on theory and applications.

Artificial Intelligence has become a powerful tool for decision-making, with the potential to transform a wide range of industries, academia and everyday life. However, there are both opportunities and challenges associated with AI-driven decision-making. On the one hand, AI has the potential to improve decision-making by providing more accurate predictions and insights based on vast amounts of data. On the other hand, there are concerns about the potential for bias, the lack of transparency, and the ethical implications of using AI to make decisions that affect people's lives. As AI technology continues to advance, it is important for researchers, policymakers, and businesses to address these challenges and ensure that AI is used in a responsible and ethical manner.

The program includes lectures by high-profile international researchers and alternates with lectures by internationally renowned researchers of the HHU's Manchot research group. In addition, a panel discussion on a special focus of the conference topic will take place on each day. Please find the detailed scope of the conference below.
