Accenture and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have introduced a new platform designed to help organizations implement and manage responsible AI practices across their operations. The Accenture Responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) Platform, built on AWS, assists businesses in assessing AI risks and developing strategies to comply with evolving regulations.
This platform is tailored for AWS workloads and provides a unified view of assets, open-source tools, and industry standards related to responsible AI. It automates key elements of AI governance, allowing firms to embed responsible practices as they develop generative AI applications. The platform also ensures continuous monitoring, testing, and remediation to maintain compliance across the enterprise.
According to Accenture's research, only 2% of companies have fully operationalized responsible AI, even as regulations like the EU AI Act create new challenges for businesses. The platform aims to bridge this gap by offering clients clear guidance on identifying and mitigating AI risks, particularly as the pace of AI innovation accelerates.
“Our work with AWS is focused on helping our clients establish and embed responsible AI at scale, closing the gap between principles and action,” said Arnab Chakraborty, Accenture’s Chief Responsible AI Officer.
With 85% of C-suite leaders planning to increase generative AI investments, yet only 14% fully integrating AI into their enterprises, the new platform is positioned to support safer and more effective AI deployment. AWS Vice President of Generative AI, Vasi Philomin, emphasized that the collaboration with Accenture aims to empower customers to innovate with AI while maintaining robust safeguards.
This initiative marks a significant expansion of the strategic partnership between Accenture and AWS, highlighting their joint commitment to advancing responsible AI adoption.
