Intel, a leading semiconductor company, has partnered with DigitalBridge Group to establish Articul8 AI, an independent company focused on delivering a comprehensive, secure, and vertically-optimized generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) software platform for enterprise customers.
Articul8, built upon Intel's intellectual property and technology, aims to provide a turnkey Gen AI software platform that prioritizes speed, security, and cost-efficiency. Arun Subramaniyan, former Vice President and General Manager in Intel’s Data Center and AI Group, has taken on the role of CEO for Articul8.
The collaboration between Intel and DigitalBridge Group signifies a strategic alignment to explore go-to-market opportunities and promote the adoption of Gen AI in the enterprise sector. Pat Gelsinger, Intel’s CEO, emphasized the potential for Articul8 to deliver tangible business outcomes, stating, “With its deep AI and HPC domain knowledge and enterprise-grade Gen AI deployments, Articul8 is well positioned to deliver tangible business outcomes for Intel and our broader ecosystem of customers and partners.”
Articul8's Gen AI platform has undergone successful early deployment at Boston Consulting Group, with subsequent scaling to enterprise customers in industries demanding heightened security and specialized domain knowledge. These sectors include financial services, aerospace, semiconductors, and telecommunications.
The new venture has attracted investments from DigitalBridge Ventures, the venture initiative of DigitalBridge, as the lead investor. Intel, along with established venture investors such as Fin Capital, Mindset Ventures, Communitas Capital, GiantLeap Capital, GS Futures, and Zain Group, has also acquired an equity stake in Articul8.
Marc Ganzi, DigitalBridge CEO, highlighted the significance of Gen AI in today's global enterprises, noting, "Every global enterprise today is challenged to integrate Gen AI capabilities into their workflows." He expressed confidence in Articul8's ability to provide a scalable and easy-to-deploy Gen AI software platform, unlocking value from proprietary data.
As Articul8 takes center stage in delivering enterprise-grade Gen AI solutions, the collaboration between Intel and DigitalBridge positions the new company to address the evolving needs of businesses seeking efficient and secure AI integration into their operations.
