Artificial intelligence (AI) continues its technological dominance worldwide, with Brazil's Meistrari team aiming to facilitate developers' endeavors in this realm. Founded in 2023 by Rodrigo Bobrow and Henrique Cunha, Meistrari focuses on providing solutions for companies building products based on large language models.
Platform's Genesis: The inception of Meistrari stemmed from the founders' realization of the challenges in AI orchestration, particularly in prompt engineering. Bobrow recalls the initial struggle: "When it came to the AI orchestration, it took weeks because they couldn’t find a solution for easy development." To address this, they developed a comprehensive, automated system for prompt creation and output evaluation.
The Solution: Meistrari's platform, requiring no programming knowledge, offers quality control for applications employing language models like ChatGPT, Claude, and Cohere. It encompasses prompt management, system testing, quality result evaluation, and system monitoring in production.
Three Main Experiences: Bobrow outlines the platform's three main experiences: crafting a great prompt, testing suite with 100 real-life test cases, and an evaluation system allowing configuration of evaluators to assess specific outputs.
Proof of Concept and Recognition: Meistrari launched its proof of concept, "Prompts Royale," on GitHub in 2023, drawing attention from notable market executives, including Shopify's co-founder Tobi Lütke. Shopify's interest led to a surge in GitHub stars, reaching over 100 on the first day, and attracted several investors.
Seed Capital Round: Despite being in the early stages of technology development, Meistrari secured a $4 million seed capital round co-led by Monashees and Audacious Ventures. Angel investors, including Oleg Rogynskyy of People AI, Paul St. John, former CRO of GitHub, and Hugh Strange, former CPO of Nubank, also joined the funding.
Future Development: Meistrari plans to deploy the new capital into building a team to further develop AI infrastructure. Bobrow anticipates releasing a minimum viable product within the next two months.
Guiding Principles: Henrique Cunha emphasizes Meistrari's guiding principle: "To be a development environment for natural language." The platform aims to assist companies and engineering teams in integrating natural language into code bases seamlessly.
Meistrari's platform simplifies the development of language models, offering a user-friendly solution for prompt engineering and AI orchestration. The company's early success and investor interest highlight the growing importance of such tools in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence.
