Pudu Robotics has launched its latest innovation, the PUDU MT1, an AI-powered robotic sweeper designed to tackle the cleaning needs of large-scale environments such as warehouses and manufacturing plants. This advanced robot is equipped with AI-driven features that enable it to manage expansive areas, covering up to approximately 1.1 million square feet.
The PUDU MT1 utilizes AI to differentiate between trash and non-trash items, optimizing its cleaning mechanism for efficiency by activating only when necessary. Its AI capabilities also extend to route optimization, using lidar SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) and VSLAM (Visual SLAM) technologies to ensure thorough and efficient coverage with minimal redundancy. This allows the robot to adapt to changes in layout and seamlessly integrate with IoT devices like elevators and gates, making it suitable for multi-floor cleaning operations.
The robotic sweeper offers real-time updates and visualized cleaning reports, which can be accessed through remote monitoring apps and PC interfaces. It also sends notifications when the trash receptacle is full, ensuring timely maintenance and uninterrupted cleaning operations.
Traditional cleaning methods in large spaces such as home improvement stores and industrial facilities often involve significant manual labor and can be less efficient. The PUDU MT1 aims to address these challenges with its advanced AI features, promising reduced costs and improved hygiene standards.
“The scale and complexity of modern facilities require advanced cleaning solutions that go beyond traditional methods,” said Felix Zhang, Founder and CEO of Pudu Robotics. “The AI capabilities of our PUDU MT1 deliver the intelligence and automation essential for keeping extensive areas meticulously clean, meeting the high expectations for hygiene and operational efficiency in large environments.”
Additional features of the PUDU MT1 include an intuitive touchscreen interface for easy operation and customization, an extended handle for manual intervention, and the ability to navigate narrow passages as slim as 29.5 inches. The robot can overcome obstacles up to three-quarters of an inch high and traverse gaps up to 1.3 inches, ensuring comprehensive edge-to-edge cleaning. It offers a 6-hour battery life and can provide 24/7 cleaning when paired with its charging dock.
This launch marks the third addition to Pudu Robotics' cleaning product lineup, following the earlier release of the PUDU T300, an autonomous robot designed for logistics workflows. The company, based in China, continues to advance human productivity and living standards through innovative robotics technology, holding nearly a thousand authorized patents worldwide across various core technologies.
