CDAO Announces its AI Symposium

The Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) will host a symposium on February 20-22, 2024, at the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC.

Advantage DoD 2024: Defense Data & AI Symposium will bring together data professionals from the government, industry, and academia to discuss the technology needs of the Department of Defense (DOD), including the future of data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) development and use in DOD.

Advantage DoD 2024 will highlight work from Task Force Lima, the team charged with determining the responsible and secure implementation of large language models (LLMs) in DoD. Other sessions will focus on topics, such as AI scaffolding, data mesh services, recent strategy and policy issuances, the DoD digital workforce, and work with Allies and partners.

This announcement also opens the CDAO's call for external speakers. Find a form on the conference website where experts or organizations external to the government can self-nominate to present during various sessions at the symposium or have their insights included on the conference website.

More information about the symposium can be found on the conference website or the CDAO's website at https://www.ai.mil. Visitors to the site can sign up to receive an email notification when registration opens on October 15th.*
